I made this pool over ten years ago. This film is a revisits the process in a more palatable form and reflects on the plants and animals that have arrived in that time.

A Natural Swimming Pool is swimming pool that has clear water without using chemicals. These pools rely entirely on the plants and animals to condition the water. This is so effective that this pool has been tested and shown to be of drinking water quality.

The world's first, totally DIY Organic Pool, just gets better year on year. Over the past decade, it has had very little maintenance - just trimming some plants, lived through droughts and yet has only been topped up with rainwater. It has become a refuge to wildlife. Water voles, kingfishers, dragonflies, frogs, great crested newts are among its residents and regular visitors. It is also delicious to dive into!

I must admit I had not heard of goat yoga before I met Fran on one of my DIY pool courses. She had this vision of a pool for goats - the concept of which I found befuddling but intriguing . This film contains images of yoga and strangely hypnotic goats.

How Owen and Gabriele made a wonderful Organic Pool from a very unpromising muddy hole. I make another joyous visit to a pool in Dorset I have been helping with and I am deeply impressed with the results these guys have achieved.

A journey through the microscopic life in an organic pool essential for maintaining hygienic water. This film was made by my son, Theo Pagan.

Designed by David Pagan Butler (me), this pool has become a valuable place for wildlife as well as a luscious freshwater swimming pool. The entire pool is circulated with my Organic Pools bubble flow system and uses less then 100 Watts. It also incorporates a "self cleaning" function that periodically removes accumulated silt from the corners.

A step by step transformation of a conventional outdoor pool into an Organic Pool. This was a completed by the owners and friends with the intermittent help of David Pagan Butler. The pool has a relatively small planted zone so an Olive Bioflter (invented by David Pagan Butler), provides additional water cleansing.

Putting a pike in the plunge pool may sound counter intuitive (daft) but in this situation, it sounds like such a reasonable idea. The pool has unwanted sticklebacks, they eat our precious filter feeding daphnia. The pike should control the numbers of stickleback and allow the population of daphnia to recover.

Making an Organic Pool with clay instead of a plastic liner. Eleonora and her husband had a farmhouse pond in need of restoration and as part of the work, they incorporated my bubble pump (airlift) circulation system to provide the filtration in this clay-lined pool.

Glamour and Camping (Glamping) meets the Organic Pool Moat Island, North Norfolk UK, is a glamping site with an Organic Pool at its heart. The pool has proved to be a glorious attraction to campers and wildlife and has been made by the owner to a David Pagan Butler design.

'Alfie' has had arthritis from the age of two but this pool has given him new mobility and zest for life. This is the world's first Organic Pool for dog hydrotherapy treatment. I show you how the pool was made and describe the thinking behind the design considerations. This film has taken me over three years to make so I hope you find it informative and hopefully, at points, entertaining. And oh yes, the pool is good for people too!

I seem to be using my pool more in the winter than the summer. Iām hoping it is good for me.

Organic Pool Off-Grid. DIY step by step. Sheep Farmer's Dream Dip. On the dry chalk downs of South Wiltshire, a sheep farmer and her family have created an oasis which has transformed their lives. This stunning Organic Pool is even more impressive for being totally off-grid.

The joy it gives is one of the many reasons to make your own Organic Pool. After all, it's impossible to be unhappy when you jump.

This shows the complete process, step by step, making a really small Organic bubble filtered plunge pool. I am constantly amazed how pretty this pool has become and by the consistent clarity of the water. The total pool area is approx 2.2 x 3.2 m and 0.8m deep.
